A Giant Leap Forward to Where I Already Was

Well I'm in the processes of moving my blog over to a Wordpress blog on my own server. I had been running my own server about a half a year ago, but it saw the magic smoke and went bye-bye. I didn't have time to fix it so I moved back to Blogger.

Now Blogger is an excellent site, but I have a strong urge to do it all myself. You could say that I have a fetish for installing software. Sometimes I uninstall things just to turn around and reinstall them. Kidding. These are jokes folks. I do like the ability to install extra plugins and little hacks that make the blog more personalized.

Anyway, the URL to my new site is here.

Out.

Part of the Team

So I bought Battlefield 2142 the other day.  I know what your saying. "GAME REVIEWS!! UUGGHH!" I assure you there's no need for the use of caps lock or MOEPs, which is an acronym I just made up this second for Massive Overuse of Exclamation Points. I will not go into the details of how the antroscopic filtering works seamlessly with the anti-aliasing providing smooth edges to the textured graphics.  Noooo, I will not even mention that stuff.  I would like to focus on the social aspect of the game.

Now I know there are "social" games like WOW, Guildwars and the Hello Kitty Online Game, but first person shooters or FPSs can also be a social experience.  I have a buddy list, there's voice chat, my "character" has goals and objectives to achieve.  I'm telling you it could be like another full time job and like a full time job you don't have to spend your time killing people or "doing actual work", you can stand around and shoot the bull.  Now if the game actually had an animated bull to shoot that would be one thing, but I'm using the phrase as a euphemism.  You don't have to be a violent person to play this game.  You can be a lover and not a fighter.  You could have even been a contender...  Wait. Stop. Focus.  I really like walking around healing people and better yet you get points for doing that too.  I don't want to color this game a lovely shade of periwinkle, you will get killed, stabbed, xploded, and face squatted or "tea bagged" as it's lovely called, but it's ok, you'll be back at it in 15 seconds handing out daisies and smoking with your buds on the loading dock.

So in conclusion, don't write off the game because it boast computer requirements that rival NASA's, or has graphics so real that I actually bleed when shot.  There is more than one dimension to this 3-D FPS.  There is heart. There are a bunch of brave men and one woman in a squad called the Bloodfilled Anal Fissures and I'll meet  you guys as soon as I get off of work.

Dismissed

Thank God it's Thursday!

Don't you love the Commodores? It takes balls of steel to name your band after computer that hasn't even been invented. Listening to Meatloaf really takes the edge off of the day. I recommend his latest release of Bat out of Hell III. He keeps going and going. I wonder if Jim Steinman was involved with this one. I started a new bookmark folder. It's called "Things I Should Care About". I highly recommend you try to setup a similar method to keep your compassion computer calculating. Chao

It's Been Such a Long Time, Yeah!!!

Hey friends.  I know that it has been several months since I posted anything whatsoever, and in the interest of moving forward, I won't go into the things I've done in my blogging hiatus. Let's just say I'm refocusing my life and I'm going to try to make writing a daily habit.

I didn't really have much to say in this post, but I did want to provide something worthwhile. I found a cool website called AfterHoursDJs that I'd like to share.  It's an online radio station that only plays techno music.  Now I'm more of Gibson SG playing hillbilly type, but I find the music very good to listen to while I'm working.  It doesn't take any of my focus and the drum beat stays the same from song to song.  I think the techno artists just pass one drum machine around and add their own little melodies.

Anywho, Cheers for now for tommorrow never knows.
